High schools are invited to participate in Poetry Out Loud, a national poetry recitation contest in which students recite poems at class, school, state and national levels. Reciting a poem over a hundred years old, but with feelings still relevant today, Grant County High School sophomore Haley Bryan won the Kentucky Poetry Out Loud state competition. Her chosen poem in the final round was Revenge by Letitia Elizabeth Landon.
