Let me start off by saying this is the continuation of something so admirable for the future of this Board of Education and the students of our Commonwealth. The work we have done these past two years will transcend far beyond this current moment and soon touch every stakeholder in this system.
Students and peers know me as a funny and lively student. Education leaders across the state know me as a boundary-breaking student with a bright future. Finally, teachers know me as the student who requires monthly letters sent home regarding unsatisfactory grades.
The Kentucky Board of Education (KBE) adopted a final order on Oct. 7 that settles a long-running dispute between the Pineville Independent and Bell County school districts.
