The Kentucky Historical Society offers field trips to the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History and scholarships for eligible schools.

Teachers can mix and match from self-guided and guided components to:

  • Journey through 12,000 years of Kentucky history;
  • Participate in a mock vote to understand the bill-making process; and
  • Discover the stories of Kentucky servicemen and servicewomen.

Teachers also can add a 60-minute learning lab that includes an activity (hands-on, performance or research) to enhance their students’ visit.

Field trips for groups of 10 or more are available year-round. Visit this KHS web page or call (502) 564-1792 for more information.

Scholarships are available to subsidize the cost of admission and educational programs for schools in which 50 percent or more of students qualify for free or reduced-price meals. The spring application deadline is Feb. 15. Visit this KHS web page for more information on scholarships.
