Announcing the 2025-2026 Innovative Teacher Fellowship(FRANKFORT, KY) – The Kentucky Department of Education’s (KDE’s) Division of Innovation has announced the selection of 10 educators for the 2025-2026 Kentucky Innovative Teacher Fellowship program.

Teachers committed to transforming education in Kentucky by championing innovative practices and fostering a collaborative culture were competitively selected from a pool of applicants from across the Commonwealth.

Educators in this cohort will craft innovative experiences that connect to the three big ideas of the United We Learn vision: creating vibrant learning experiences, accelerating innovation and building a bold new future through collaboration with communities.

The 2025-2026 Kentucky Innovative Teacher Fellowship members are:

  • Robyn Ballinger, Chenoweth Elementary School (Jefferson County)
  • Lauren Brewer, Greenup County High School
  • Gari Grider, Painted Stone Elementary School (Shelby County)
  • Rebekah Gooslin, Huntertown Elementary School (Woodford County)
  • Cyndi Henry, Justice Elementary School (Clark County)
  • Casey Salyers, W.R. Castle Memorial Elementary School (Johnson County)
  • Jessica Stepp, Clearfield Elementary School (Rowan County)
  • Marybeth Tumey, Shearer Elementary School (Clark County)
  • Amberly Wilson, Conkwright Elementary School (Clark County)

Educators in the Kentucky Innovative Teacher Fellowship program will be provided with professional learning, teacher leadership opportunities and innovative project development and implementation ideas to directly impact the learning experiences of Kentucky students.
