The Kentucky Center for Mathematics and the Kentucky Department of Education have partnered to offer a free professional learning opportunity for middle school mathematics teacher leaders and administrators.

Building mathematics content-focused coaching is a long-range educational practice in which mathematics teacher leaders work collaboratively with principals and classroom teachers to design, implement and reflect on rigorous, standards-based lessons that promote individual student learning.

This event (see dates below) is for educators interested in content-focused coaching grounded in current research and clinical knowledge on leadership and schools as professional communities of practice.

Training involves six in-person training sessions for middle school teacher leaders, two of which must be attended for half of a day by a middle school administrator.

The deadline to register is July 30.
