Discovery Education and 3M are looking for innovative students who want to make a difference in today’s world. They’re challenging students in grades 5-8 to create a one to two minute video showcasing their big idea to solve a real-world problem using science and engineering.
Videos do not need to be produced and may be recorded on cell phones or simple digital cameras.
The first 50 students to submit a video will receive a Young Scientist Challenge prize pack.
Ten national finalists will have the chance to participate in experiences and win amazing prizes, such as a one-on-one mentorship with a 3M scientist, $25,000 and the title of “America’s Top Young Scientist.” Go to YoungScientistChallenge.com for more information.
