Technology moves fast, and it can be a challenge to keep up with the best practices for integrating the latest innovations into your classroom instruction. CIITS and Edivation offer a series of videos showing examples of teachers doing just that — using new technologies to engage and enlighten students in ways never before possible in the classroom.

Follow the instructions below to access the following videos, which can be used as resources for professional growth goals:

See how students learn with tablets using the Nearpod app.

Watch as students research using their tablets and participate in a role play of the taxation of the American colonies, posting their responses to the role play in real time through the Edmodo app.

Students analyze historical documents in text, audio, and video by using their own devices to access QR codes.

Accessing the videos is simple:

  1. Go to CIITS (ciits.kyschools.us).
  2. Enter your username and password.
  3. Scroll down to the School Improvement Network section and click the Edivation logo. This should automatically log you into Edivation. (Note: If nothing happens when you click the logo, check your browser’s pop-up blocker and disable it for the CIITS website. This will get you into Edivation.)
  4. Once you’re logged in to CIITS, come back to this post and click the links above to watch the videos.
