Musicians with disabilities may apply for the VSA International Young Soloists Competition and the VSA Kentucky Young Soloists Program.

The competition is open to soloists and ensembles, domestic and international applicants and musicians with disabilities of all genres. Winners will receive $2,500, perform at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and participate in four days of professional development activities, including master classes, round table discussions and rehearsals.

All applicants to the VSA International Young Soloists Competition are also eligible for the VSA Kentucky Young Soloist Program, which will award one outstanding young musician a $500 music scholarship, the opportunity to perform during the Kentucky Exceptional Children’s Conference and mentoring sessions with musicians on VSA’s teaching artist roster.
