The Innovate to Mitigate project, funded by the National Science Foundation, invites middle school and high school students and student groups to participate in a competition to reduce climate change by coming up with ideas to reduce greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

Students will compete for cash prizes in the two-phase competition. In round one, students are asked to submit a brief statement describing one or more ideas on how to reduce greenhouses gases. The most promising ideas qualify for round two, in which the ideas will be further developed in a two-minute video and a paper.

The deadline for round one is March 9. Click here for more information.
