Kentucky Educational Television has rescheduled its episode of Education Matters, “Inside the Common Core,” for 9 p.m. ET April 13.

The program — which will feature panelists joining host Bill Goodman to discuss the state’s adoption and implementation of the Kentucky Core Academic Standards (KCAS) — was originally scheduled to air in February, but production was delayed due to inclement weather.

Panelists will address the ways in which national standards have been adapted to meet Kentucky’s specific needs, and how the new standards have been implemented in school districts across the state over the past four years. The program will also include visits to two schools: Lafayette High School (Fayette County) and Second Street Elementary (Frankfort Independent) to investigate the ways that the new standards have been successfully integrated into mathematics and language arts classrooms.

Education Matters is a KET production, produced by Tom Bickel. Nancy Carpenter is the executive producer. Click here for series information and streaming video, including a link to view this program online following its scheduled broadcast time.
