Old Fort Harrod State Park in Harrodsburg is hosting a traveling exhibit on General John Hunt Morgan, a Confederate general and cavalry officer in the Civil War best known for Morgan’s Raid.

The exhibit, which will be at the park through July, includes informational panels and personal artifacts and centers around an actual door from the cell block he was housed in while imprisoned during the war.

Students can experience the event at no additional charge; the exhibit is included with admission to Fort Harrod, which is open to school field trips throughout the year and offers a living history experience on the site of Kentucky’s first permanent settlement.
