The Kentucky Writing Project’s summer workshop for teachers who work with English-language learners, “Addressing the Needs of ELLs in Mainstream Classrooms,” will be held this summer in Lexington and Louisville.

The three-day workshop, which offers 18 hours of professional development credit, is designed especially for teachers who work with English-language learners but have had limited training in strategies that make a difference. It will focus on authentic assessment and differentiation, as well as tools that assist teachers in knowing students’ needs.

The schedule:

  • Lexington, June 10-12
  • Louisville, June 15-17 or July 7-9

The registration fee is $75 through June 1 or $100 after June 1.
