The Kentucky Association for Environmental Education (KAEE) will host a free webinar to educate those interested in the new Kentucky Green Schools program on Aug. 10.

From 1–2 p.m., those who attend the seminar will be able to learn about how they can implement the program within schools and communities.

Kentucky Green Schools is a joint program of KAEE and the Kentucky Environmental Education Council that is designed to help students develop environmentally-friendly behavior and empower them to take active steps toward creating a greener and healthier world.

Schools that become a Kentucky Green School learn about their energy use, waste and recycling, water consumption, and environmental quality. They also investigate ways to reduce their carbon footprint and create a more sustainable learning environment.

The Kentucky Green Schools program is available for all grade levels of Kentucky private or public schools and offers opportunities of recognition for schools who become involved.

Interested teachers, administrators and community members should visited the Kentucky Green Schools webinar registration page to sign up.
