Applications are open for the Kentucky Department of Education’s (KDE) Counselor Advisory Council, a group of about 25 practicing counselor leaders that is being formed to provide the commissioner of education with direct input from counselors in Kentucky public schools.

The council will advise the commissioner on educational priorities that meet the needs of the whole child. It will allow for discussion and feedback from the field about topics that will lead to the improvement of Kentucky public schools. Counselors selected as members will be appointed to three-year terms.

The application deadline is Feb. 2. Visit KDE’s website for more information and a link to the application.
