The Tsongas Industrial History Center in Lowell, Mass., invites educators to attend a week-long workshop, “Inventing America: Lowell and the Industrial Revolution” this summer at the center.

The workshop combines scholarly presentations with investigations of the canals, mills, worker housing and exhibits of Lowell National Historical Park. In addition to Lowell’s landmark resources, drama, hands-on simulations, historical fiction and field studies at Old Sturbridge Village and Walden Pond in Concord, Mass., will be used to bring history to life.

Sessions will be held June 26-July 1 and July 17-22. Graduate credit is available. The application deadline is March 1. Click here for more information.
