The University of Kentucky Department of Mathematics will host its 2016 High School Math Day for Women on Oct. 29.

The program features hands-on activities, games and talks for female high school students and their teachers (both men and women). Its purpose is to introduce new and exciting mathematics and applications of mathematics. There also will be an optional problem-solving competition offering prizes to the top finishers.

The event is free and lunch is provided, but individuals or schools are asked to register in advance. Click here to register or email David Royster for more information.
