The Kentucky Department of Education and the Kentucky Center for Mathematics are offering the Middle School Mathematics Summer Institute for middle school mathematics teachers, special educators, intervention teachers and instructional coaches June 13-15 at the University of Louisville.

The institute includes two free professional learning opportunities for middle school educators – both featuring master teacher Anne Burgunder – that are designed to promote cross-district collaboration and professional growth among middle school mathematics teachers.

Participants may attend the June 13 session, “Thinking Routines, Models and Discourse for Middle School Mathematics;” the June 14-15 session, “Purposefully Designing a Thinking Culture in Middle School Math Classrooms;” or both sessions.
