The Kentucky Environmental Education Council (KEEC) will host a water quality and conservation workshop July 18 at the Thomas More College Biology Field Station near California.

The workshop is open to teachers from all grade levels and content areas. Educators will learn how to teach lessons focusing on water quality and water conservation in all grade levels, view demonstrations, conduct hands-on activities, connect with resources and sample mussels, algae and fish from a boat.

KEEC has received grant money to distribute to teachers across the state in order for them to conduct water projects within their schools.

The registration deadline is July 14. Email kghs@ky.gov for more information on the workshop.
