The Kentucky Council for the Social Studies (KCSS) will hold its annual conference Sept. 14-15 at the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History in Frankfort.

The conference theme is “Exploring Citizenship through Change, Conflict and Collaboration.” Events will include a keynote speech by Larry Paska, executive director for the National Council for the Social Studies; and sessions focusing on citizenship, developing questions and planning inquiries, applying disciplinary concepts and tools, evaluating sources and using evidence, technology in the social studies classroom and implementing recent legislation.
