Faculty from several Kentucky colleges and universities are organizing a Mathematics Circle this fall. The Mathematics Circle is an enrichment program for middle or high school students with an interest in mathematics. This program will allow students to learn mathematics beyond what is covered in traditional course work with an emphasis on developing mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Topics are developed through a series of problems so that students have the fun of learning the material on their own. To learn more about Mathematics Circles, visit www.mathcircles.org or www.math.uky.edu/~circles.

The circle will meet every two to three weeks on Sunday afternoons from 2 to 4 p.m. at the University of Kentucky.
