The Kentucky State Poetry Society is accepting entries for its 2021 Student Poetry Contest.

The contest is free to enter and open nationwide to all students in grades 3-12. Only one submission is allowed per student, and it must be original, unpublished work. There is a 30-line limit for poems.

Students placing in first, second and third will receive cash prizes. First place winners in each age group will be published in Pegasus, the Kentucky State Poetry Society’s magazine, and will be invited to read their winning poems at the society’s annual conference.

Poems should be submitted as an attachment in a Word document via email to kspspoetry@gmail.com. The deadline to submit a poem is April 15. More information is available on the society’s website.
