Teachers are invited to bring their classes to celebrate George Washington’s 284th birthday Feb. 11-12 and 17-18 at the Sons of the American Revolution national headquarters in Louisville.

Students can experience five interactive stations:

  • Learn about the first president while enjoying birthday cake
  • Make your own flag, which fulfills a Kentucky statute calling for instruction on the U.S. flag
  • Ring the Liberty Bell
  • Use quill and ink to sign a birthday card for Washington that will be sent to George Washington’s Mount Vernon

The cost is $4 per student, with teachers and chaperones admitted free. There are morning and afternoon time slots are available each day. Email Colleen Wilson for more information.
