Five Kentucky teachers have received annual awards from the Kentucky Association of Professional Educators (KAPE).

Two teachers from Henry Clay High School (Fayette County) shared KAPE Star Student and Teacher/Mentor Awards with students: Liberal Arts Academy Coordinator Jaquith Stephens won an award with student Eliza Jane Schaeffer, and mathematics teacher Linda Dewees won an award with student Cole Terrell.

Three teachers won Continuing Professional Development Awards: Emily Best of Warner Elementary School (Fayette County), Paige Caudill of Johnson County Middle School and Holly Tapscott of South Laurel Middle School (Laurel County).
