The Kentucky Society for Technology in Education (KySTE) is accepting nominations for the awards listed below.

STLP Awards

The STLP Awards recognize and honor STLP seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievement and leadership in technology. KySTE is currently funding 4 scholarships for $1000 each. Annually, KySTE tries to find support from companies to add to the scholarship money. A total of four scholarships will always be guaranteed. KySTE offers its members an opportunity to nominate students for this award annually. The nomination process is open and closes February 1, 2014. Winners will be announced at the STLP State Championship and Annual Awards at the Lexington Convention Center (LCC) & Rupp Arena.

Making IT Happen

Making IT Happen is an internationally recognized awards program for educators and leaders in the field of educational technology integration in K–12 schools. The program identifies and rewards educational technology leaders in Kentucky for their commitment and innovation. The nomination process is open and closes January 17, 2014. The recipient will be presented with this award at the annual KySTE conference in March…..AND nominated for the ISTE award at the national level.

Outstanding Teacher

KySTE annually recognizes an Outstanding Teacher for contributions to the field of education technology. The Outstanding Teacher award recognizes and honors one teacher who has demonstrated outstanding achievement and leadership in implementing technology to improve education. The nomination process is open and closes January 17, 2014. The recipient will be presented with this award at the annual KySTE conference in March…..AND nominated for the ISTE award at the national level.

Outstanding Leader

KySTE annually recognizes an Outstanding Leader for contributions to the field of education technology. The Outstanding Leader award recognizes and honors one leader who has demonstrated outstanding achievement and leadership in implementing technology to improve education. Outstanding Technology Staff Support

KySTE annually recognizes an Outstanding Technology Support Staff for contributions to the field of education technology. The Outstanding Technology Staff award recognizes and honors a technician or resource person who has demonstrated outstanding achievement and leadership in supporting technology to improve education. The nomination process is open and closes January 17, 2014. The recipient will be presented with this award at the annual KySTE conference in March.
