CTE programs can apply for Excellence in Action award

Applications are being accepted for the Advance CTE Excellence in Action Award, which recognizes and honors superior career and technical education programs of study from across the nation.

KDE’s Davis selected to lead national agricultural education group

Brandon Davis of the Kentucky Department of Education's Office of Career and Technical Education was chosen as the president elect of the National Association of Supervisors of Agricultural Education at the group's annual convention in Indianapolis.  
About 2,600 high school students had the opportunity to meet with construction employers during the 13th Annual Kentucky Construction Career Days at the Shelby County Fairgrounds. The event, sponsored by the Kentucky Construction Career Choice Council, gives students the chance to obtain information about employment, construction registered apprenticeship offerings, and post-secondary educational opportunities. Students from across Kentucky participated recently in Construction Career Days, which give members of the construction industry an opportunity to engage with high school students in career and technical education programs.
