PD in your PJs
Graham Fletcher and Christina Tondevold are providing free trainings for elementary teachers to better understand how children learn mathematics. Each training will be about three hours, see session details below.

  • Build Your Students’ Fact Fluency in 5 Days Using Number Talks

Christina Tondevold will demonstrate how to lay a solid foundation as they build strategies for addition (prek-2) and multiplication (3rd-5th). Throughout the training she will discuss common issues educators might encounter as students are developing strategies and she will include a video of a number talk with students.

Visit this website to register for the Addition Fact Fluency training (appropriate for PreK-2nd grade teachers) and visit this webpage to register for the Multiplication Fact Fluency training (appropriate for 3rd-5th grade teachers).  For more information see https://buildmathminds.com/.

  • Graham Fletcher’s Fraction Video Series

Fletcher is well known for his progressions videos and 3-Act Math Tasks. In this video series he combines them both to help teachers better understand the progression of fraction understanding that students experience. He also will demonstrate how to use 3-Act Math Tasks to make the teaching and learning of fractions more engaging.
