George Washington’s Mount Vernon is accepting applications for their 2021-2022 Teacher Fellowships. Five fellows will be selected to:

  • Work together, with Mount Vernon staff, to design a slate of civics resources
  • Develop resources for multiple grade levels and differentiated learning styles
  • Ensure alignment with current classroom needs
  • Integrate George Washington’s biography, his leadership and the value of learning about his legacies

Educators may apply individually or in groups of two or three. Qualified applicants include exceptional K-12 classroom teachers, curriculum specialists, media specialists and those in university-level teacher training or nonprofit educational resources development.

Fellows are required to attend onsite portions of the fellowship July 6-23. All fellows will be awarded a $3,000 stipend and round-trip travel to and from Mount Vernon. Housing and breakfast also will be provided.

The application is available on the Mount Vernon website and is due by March 22.
