This is a reminder that the College Board’s AP program is working to provide all AP students access to learning during this unusual time. The Kentucky Department of Education wants to ensure you have all of the information necessary to help students be provided with equitable access and, thus, feel prepared for their exams.
On March 20, the College Board released an update on how the Advanced Placement (AP) program is supporting this year’s AP exam administration. Within this email, College Board called out a few bullets that are within the AP Central update page that you can find College Board website.
Apply now to host a Chinese guest teacher for the 2018-19 school year. Since 2007, the College Board Chinese Guest Teacher Program has placed more than 1,400 Chinese language and culture teachers to classrooms across the nation.
The College Board is now allowing educators and students access to Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) scores online so they can use the results to see areas in which students are thriving and pinpoint areas in which they need additional support and take advantage of free tools that will help students prepare for the SAT. Kentucky students who took rigorous Advanced Placement tests in May scored higher according to data released from the College Board. In fact, the number of students scoring at the top two levels is up between 4 and 5 percent from last year.
