Kentucky Education Commissioner Wayne Lewis and Kentucky Board of Education chairman Hal Heiner visited the Graves County school district June 26.
Louisville public high school graduate Hal Heiner, who most recently served as secretary of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet, became a Kentucky Board of Education member in April and was named chair at the board’s regularly scheduled meeting in August.
In the opening moments of its regular board meeting Aug. 2, Kentucky Board of Education members voted to elect Hal Heiner as chair and Milton Seymore as vice-chair.
Students showed off their projects to improve the environment and conserve energy at the Youth Summit and Awards Luncheon in Frankfort.
