The Kentucky Council for Exceptional Children (KYCEC), in collaboration with the Kentucky Department of Education’s Office of Special Education and Early Learning, is pleased to announce that nominations for the 2026 Kentucky Special Education Teacher of the Year are now open and will close on June 30.
The Kentucky Department of Education’s (KDE’s) Office of Special Education and Early Learning, in collaboration with the Kentucky Council for Exceptional Children (KYCEC), is proud to recognize Jessica Youart of Meade County as the 2025 Special Education Teacher of the Year.
Nominations are being accepted for the 2023 Kentucky Special Education Teacher of the Year Award. Any full-time special education teacher in the state is eligible for this recognition.
