2017 Kentucky Winner’s Circle schools recognized

The Kentucky Department of Education recognized 10 Kentucky public schools on Sept. 18 for outstanding teaching and learning conditions. These Winners’ Circle schools were recognized for their effective teaching and school leadership practices and will be shared as models of best practices across the state.

Berea puts on training for regional arts specialists

The City of Berea/Tourism offered a two-day conference for KDE's new regional arts specialists, allowing them time to collaborate as they attended sessions focused on implementing the new arts standards in dance, media arts, music, theater, visual arts and Program Review.

KDE announces new regional arts specialists

The Kentucky Department of Education has started a new program of regional arts specialists. Teachers, schools and districts will be able to utilize these individuals as an arts resource for their school and district.
