The Kentucky Department of Education’s (KDE’s) Local Superintendents Advisory Council (LSAC) heard updates on House Bill (HB) 9, Senate Bill (SB) 9, amendments to policies on school-related student trips, and revisions to a regulation regarding student records and hearing procedures during its April 12 meeting.
The Kentucky Department of Education’s Local Superintendents Advisory Council (LSAC) approved amendments to draft regulations for state-operated area technology centers’ (ATCs’) certified and equivalent staff compensation plan at its Feb. 1 meeting.
During its May 25 meeting, the Local Superintendents Advisory Council (LSAC) approved updated regulation 702 KAR 7:150 to align with statutes put in place last year by House Bill (HB) 458. The council also repealed 704 KAR 7:120 in order to permit the creation of the new regulation. Mandated by KRS 156.004, the council meets to review any proposed administrative regulations and educational policies before they go before the Kentucky Board of Education.
