Shelby County Public Schools engineering teacher named robotics coach of the year
Laura Smith, the Shelby County Public Schools engineering teacher, has been named Kentucky’s VEX Coach of the Year. She has been the team’s coach since 2016.
Ignite Institute’s robotics team wins 2022 VEX Robotics World Championship
The Ignite Institute’s (Boone County) robotics team – PiBotics 38141B – won the 2022 VEX Robotics World Championship May 7 in Dallas, Texas. Of the 20,000 teams registered, only 818 teams from 40 countries were selected for the world competition.
