The College Board is offering two scholarship opportunities for Advanced Placement teachers to attend the AP Summer Institute June 26-30 at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green for free.

The institutes are suited for both first-year AP teachers and veteran AP teachers who are looking to refine their curriculum and approach. The scholarships are available to teachers at schools without funding for professional learning.

Here are the scholarship programs available:

  • AP Fellows is an annual competitive grant program that provides AP Summer Institute scholarships for teachers at high schools serving minority or low-income students who have been traditionally underrepresented in AP courses.
  • AP Rural Fellows is an annual competitive grant program that provides AP Summer Institute scholarships for teachers serving in rural areas of the country.

The scholarship application deadline is Feb. 15. Click here to learn more about both programs, and click here to learn more about the institute at WKU.
