The Kentucky Department of Education and the Literacy Design Collaborative (LDC) will host a national peer review workshop July 18-19 at Indiana Wesleyan University’s campus in Lexington.

The workshop is suited both for educators who want to join the national community of LDC peer reviewers and those who simply want to renew their thinking about curriculum quality in their school or district. LDC peer review training provides a way to vet and improve modules to a level of quality that drives outstanding teaching and supports deeper student learning.

Peer review training also can lead to earning certified and expert reviewer badges, which are key steps in the coach certification process. Peer review deepens educators’ understanding of LDC design and helps them hone coaching and feedback skills.
