(FRANKFORT, KY) – The Kentucky Department of Education’s Division of Innovation is pleased to announce the selection of 24 outstanding educators for the fifth cohort of the Kentucky Innovative Teacher Fellowship.
This distinguished group of teachers will continue advancing the vision of United We Learn by implementing innovative instructional practices, engaging in meaningful professional learning, and fostering collaboration to transform teaching and learning across Kentucky classrooms to provide vibrant learning experiences for all Kentucky students.
Throughout the fellowship, participants will design, implement, reflect on, and share innovative classroom projects that promote learner-centered educational practices. These projects will focus on advancing personalized learning, competency-based education, high-quality performance assessments, high-quality instructional resources, and other innovative approaches that support student success and achievement.
KDE is also proud to announce new partnerships with Eastern Kentucky University and Murray State University. Through these collaborations, Kentucky Innovative Teacher Fellowship participants will have the opportunity to earn up to nine graduate credit hours for three courses that may be applied toward a master’s degree in teacher leadership, further supporting educators as they strengthen their professional expertise and leadership capacity.
