Plan now to join the fun and help brighten your community this winter by painting a plow to start the 2026-2027 school year! The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s (KYTC) fourth annual Paint the Plow program is returning this fall.

High school students from across the Commonwealth are invited to put their creativity to work by painting KYTC snowplow blades with their original designs. Over the past three years, 140 plows have been transformed with designs that blend school spirit with safe winter driving messages.

Participating students just need paint supplies, a creative mind, and a little elbow grease.
