Delta Kappa Gamma award honors young female educator

The Delta Chapter of Kentucky Delta Kappa Gamma (DKG) is accepting applications for its Virginia Mutchler Young Woman Educator Award, which was established in honor of a former Western Kentucky University professor dedicated to teacher excellence and the Delta Kappa Gamma organization.

To be eligible for the award, teachers must have a current Kentucky teaching certificate, one to 10 years of total teaching experience and be employed in either Allen, Barren, Edmonson, Simpson or Warren counties. The winner will receive a $500 scholarship toward either a post-graduate degree or National Board certification, as well as a one-year membership in the Delta Chapter of DKG.

DKG is an international organization that seeks to promote professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education.
