Fulbright Awards for teachers available

The Distinguished Fulbright Awards in Teaching program sends highly accomplished primary and secondary teachers from the U.S. abroad and brings international teachers to the U.S for a three to six month long program. Kentucky History Teacher of the Year nominations sought

Nominations are currently being taken for the 2014 Kentucky History Teacher of the Year.  All nominations must be submitted on the Gilder Lehrman website at: www.gilderlehrman.org/nhtoy. Advanced Placement honor roll announced

Twelve Kentucky public school districts have been selected for  inclusion in the College Board’s 4th annual Advanced Placement (AP) District Honor Roll. Kentucky Green Ribbon Schools 2014 application available

The Kentucky Green Ribbon Schools (GRS) application for 2014 is now available on the Green Ribbon Schools webpage. Districts interested in applying must first submit a letter of intent. Superintendents should designate a representative from their district to e-mail the district’s intent to Sherri Craig (sherri.craig@education.ky.gov) by December 6, 2013.
