Bernheim Forest hosting workshops on nature-based play

Registration is open for four Nature Play Training Institutes to be held March through June at Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest in Clermont. The workshops will focus on the benefits of play-based learning for child development and improving outdoor play opportunities.

KDE offering training on Algebra 2 EOC assessment

The Kentucky Department of Education will hold training sessions to provide an overview of the Algebra 2 end-of-course (EOC) assessment and to introduce the framework for the spring field test at three locations across Kentucky.

Kentucky Reading Project applications available

Applications are open for the 2018-19 Kentucky Reading Project (KRP), a yearlong, graduate-level course focused on research-based literacy instruction and sponsored by the Collaborative Center for Literacy Development (CCLD) that has trained more than 3,800 teachers throughout the state since it began in 1999.

White House History Teacher Institute accepting applications

Applications are being accepted for the 2018 White House History Teacher Institute, scheduled for July 16-20 in Washington, D.C. The workshop allows educators to discover the history behind the White House and explore how stories from the building can be used to enhance social studies classrooms.
