Two students from Bryan Station High School (Fayette County) earned recognition for their Spanish skills during the 2020 National Beta Club Convention. James Grant placed ninth in the sophomore division and Victoria Lowe finished eighth in the junior division.

National Beta Club promotes the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership. Its annual convention, which was scheduled for mid-June in Fort Worth, Texas, would have brought together some 20,000 students and sponsors for speakers, workshops and contests. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers instead shifted to an online format.
