Here at Kentucky Teacher, we get to learn about exciting ideas and meet great educators just about every day. We are fortunate to have the privilege of sharing their ideas with you in the stories we post every week.

But sometimes, honoring great educators once just isn’t enough.

Throughout May, we’re revisiting some of our favorite stories from the past year to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Month. Tune in daily to the Kentucky Department of Education’s Facebook page and Twitter feed  to take a second look at some of the great men and women we’ve had the chance to meet in classrooms across the Commonwealth.

Don’t forget to also share the stories of the teachers who have influenced your life or the lives of your children with the hashtag #thankakyteacher. We’ll be sharing those tweets throughout May, too. Follow us @Kydeptofed.

We want to say thank you to all of Kentucky’s educators. You work hard every day to find new ways to expand and challenge the minds of the Commonwealth’s children. We know that on the road to success, there are a lot of great teachers who are there to light the path.
