(FRANKFORT, Ky.) – The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) is seeking feedback on proposed health and physical education standards.

As a result of previous feedback collected through June 2017, extensive revisions have been made to reflect current trends and practices in health and physical education instruction. The health and P.E. standards were last revised in 2006.

Though this set of standards has met Senate Bill 1 (2017) development and revision criteria and has involved Kentucky educators and public/business shareholders throughout the revision process, additional feedback is being sought to support the continued work in the process of adoption.

Through Dec. 6, all who are interested are invited to review the proposed health and physical education standards and share feedback and suggestions that may be used to refine the proposed standards before final consideration for adoption.
