The Kentucky Department of Education, in collaboration with the Kentucky Environmental Education Council, the Education and Workforce Development Cabinet and Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman’s office, is excited to offer a summer enrichment program option to get students engaged and eager for in-person learning.

Summer learning enrichment will include the use of natural spaces for one-day multidisciplinary outdoor environmental education activities connected to the Kentucky Academic Standards (KAS) for Science. The opportunities will appeal to a wide variety of grade levels and interests. The only associated costs for the trip will be transportation and lunches, if the local district can provide them.

School and district leaders are being asked to fill out this brief survey to allow us to gauge interest and to begin recruiting sites near your district. For more information, email Billy Bennett. The survey will close at 11:59 p.m. ET on April 30.
