Kentucky teens are invited to take part in the second-annual Kentucky Safe Teen Driving Challenge, a statewide initiative that rewards safe driving habits with cash prizes and recognition.
The challenge is open to students ages 15–19 who hold a learner’s permit or driver’s license and have access to a smartphone. Participants earn scores based on safe driving behaviors such as smooth braking, safe speeds, and avoiding phone distraction while driving.
The safest drivers can earn up to $3,000 in cash prizes, with a total of $10,000 awarded. In addition, the high school of the safest student driver will receive statewide recognition. These prizes were donated by AAA Bluegrass, AAA East Central and Intoximeters.
