Two Kentucky schools are among 25 semifinalists in the Northrop Grumman Foundation’s Fab School Labs STEM laboratory makeover contest. Nearly 200 public middle schools entered the online contest to compete for one of five grants of up to $100,000 for an “extreme makeover” for their STEM labs that will give students access to the latest technology and learning tools.

Bluegrass Middle School (Hardin County) and South Oldham Middle School (Oldham County) will be part of a week-long online voting campaign Dec. 5-9 on the contest’s Facebook page that will help determine the five grant recipients.

Votes may be cast for South Oldham Middle on Dec. 5 and for Bluegrass Middle on Dec. 9.
