After nearly four years of development following the December 2015 passage of the federal Every Student Succeeds Act, Kentucky’s new 5-star accountability system for public schools is now live.
On Tuesday, Oct. 1, educators, parents, students and education stakeholders will see for the first time how their local schools are performing under Kentucky’s new 5-star accountability system.
The Kentucky Department of Education released 2017-2018 student assessment results, and also identified the state’s lowest performing schools as well as those struggling to meet the needs of specific groups of students.
