Water-quality education grant awarded to KEEC

The Kentucky Environmental Education Council (KEEC) has been awarded a $91,000 grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to train teachers about water-quality education and fund student water stewardship projects in the state through the Kentucky Green and Healthy Schools (KGHS) program. Sanctuary hosting environmental education workshop

Kentucky State University, the Life Adventure Center at Buckley Wildlife Sanctuary and the Kentucky Environmental Education Council will offer a Project Learning Tree K-8 curriculum workshop focusing on outdoor and wildlife-related activities July 8 at Buckley Wildlife Sanctuary near Frankfort.
