The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) sought more feedback on the search for a new education commissioner during the Commissioner’s Principals Advisory Council meeting on Sept. 28.
Eleven new members have been selected to join the Kentucky Department of Education’s (KDE’s) Principals Advisory Council (PrAC), Education Commissioner Jason E. Glass announced on Nov. 22.
The Kentucky Technology Student Association (KYTSA) will start 16 new high school chapters this fall thanks to a generous donation from Stan and Karen Pigman. All 16 schools are in the southeast region of Kentucky and will receive funding to start and maintain an active KYTSA chapter.
The Kentucky Board of Education (KBE) adopted a final order on Oct. 7 that settles a long-running dispute between the Pineville Independent and Bell County school districts.
Once again I was able to visit an independent district and a county district on the same day. This time it was Pineville Independent in Bell County. The students and staff were friendly and focused on learning during my short visit.
