24 Kentucky Valvoline Teacher Achievement Award winners named for 2022

The Kentucky Department of Education and Valvoline Inc. have selected 24 outstanding Kentucky educators as recipients of the 2022 Valvoline™ Teacher Achievement Awards (TAA). These teachers qualify to compete for the 2022 Kentucky Teacher of the Year Award, which will be announced in September.

Kentucky FFA members excel at National FFA Convention

Kentucky FFA was well represented at the 93rd Annual National FFA Convention, held virtually Oct. 27-29. More than 100,000 FFA members, advisers and supporters registered for the event, which also was broadcast live on RFD TV.

2020 Kentucky Teacher of the Year to focus on teacher recruitment

Erin Ball, a language arts teacher at Georgetown Middle School (Scott County), recently began a semester-long ambassadorship with the Kentucky Department of Education. During this time, one of her goals is focusing on teacher recruitment – specifically minority teachers.
